We have been learning all about Autumn. We went on a Nature Walk and collected lots of leaves and conkers! We read lots of stories about Autumn and we even learned a song about a bear who can't wait to hibernate!

We have been learning about the importance of taking care of ourselves. We have been working hard in the Beauty Salon this month. We listened to the story 'Crazy Hair Day' by Barney Saltzberg. We have been very busy washing, cutting, curling and straightening hair. Some of our clients booked nail appointments and some even got facials!
We have also worked really hard in the Dentist. We have been busy brushing teeth and checking for cavities. We read a story about Zak who took a trip to the Dentist and we wrote about the steps we take when brushing our teeth.
The girls were delighted to be reunited with their friends after their Christmas Holidays.
We have been doing lots of fun activities this month. We have been busy working in the Shopping Centre and getting a few bargains in the sales. We even got an opportunity to go shopping at the Book Fair!
We also have been using our senses and we investigated what happens when bread is heated. It turns into toast! We tested the toast and it was delicious!
We have been learning all about our school and the members of our school community. We designed a school in the construction area and we have been in role as teachers, pupils and principals!

We began by making St. Brigid's Crosses with 5th class! We had a PJ Day and we also celebrated Pancake Tuesday by listening to the story of Mr. Wolf's Pancakes before eating tasty pancakes!
We read "The Great Race" and learned all about the Chinese New Year! We worked with 4th class to create beautiful Chinese Lanterns.
We have been busy playing in the School and writing scripts for small performances. We have also been working in the Construction site. Some girls have been constructing buildings out of blocks, lego and recycled materials while other girls have been working as an architect!
We had lots of fun working in The Garden Centre. We listened to the story of 'The Little Seed' by Eric Carle, designed and label the parts of a plant, sang a song about plants and we even planted our own seeds! We watered the cress and put it in the sun to make sure it would grow. Take a look!
